Hyperspace, Statosphere and Dark Places all could have happily existed (with more stripped down production) on Morning Phase. Colors, Beck’s last album, won two Grammies. I got excited for a Beck RSD release but it’s just that St. Side 2 is an entirely different beast, but by that stage you're scarred by the likes of Die Waiting and Chemical, which may well be two of his worst ever songs.
